  • Webmaster

Position Description:

EGP seeks a Webmaster to develop and maintain an up-to-date, visually appealing web site. This is a hybrid position that requires both editorial and web/technical skills. The Webmaster is responsible for helping expand EGP’s online presence.

Responsibilities:

Identify and update pages that need work.

Collaborate with the board of directors to ensure dynamic web content.

Responsive to emails, attend online meetings, and report to the board.

Help create content for the monthly eNewsletter.

Help to expand our e-mailing list and site traffic

 

Qualifications:  

Must have knowledge and experience in WordPress, HTML and web design

Excellent writing skills

Creative thinker 

Must be able to work independently 

Passionate and committed to EGP’s vision and goal.

Time Commitment:

Flexible schedule – 3-10 hours per week depending on the number of projects/updates.

While this opportunity is flexible, we prefer to have someone who can commit to providing online updates within 2-4 days of being provided new content.

  • Director of Outreach & Development 

The Director of Outreach & Development will be on the Board of Directors, and will work closely with staff members to provide leadership in promoting, building relationships and developing EGP on a global scale. S/he will supervise all outreach, communication and marketing initiatives.

The position requires some presentation and public speaking activities. S/he will be a source of inspiration to those around him\her and lead by example. Support and empower people to use their potential, in making a positive impact on the world’s children and youth. This is a full-time\part time, voluntary position done remotely from home or other location. 

 

Responsibilities:

Co-designing and executing an outreach and development strategy to achieve EGP’s development goals for the next three years (2017-2019)

Serves as an enthusiastic ambassador for the organization in developing partnerships with organizations, institutions and educators.

Communications: Development and effective implementation of communication and media plans that support organizational goals.

Outbound Materials: Work with the Board of Directors to ensure that web sites and other outbound communications (e-newsletters, annual report, marketing materials, news releases, press kits, etc.) are clear, effective, consistent with plans, and serve organizational goals.

Act as point person for media relations (including newspapers, documentary production companies etc)

Write press releases and pitch stories to journalists.

Collaborates with the staff and Webmaster to create content for the website.

Presents EGP at conferences and meetings with interested organizations.

 

Qualifications:

Passion for the project’s mission

Proven leadership capabilities, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Experience working with educators and educational organizations is preferred 

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) – can interact effectively with a variety of constituents, equally comfortable as an ambassador in conferences as s/he is addressing young people.

Creative and inspiring writer.

Understanding of and experience in social marketing strongly preferred.

Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written). Bilingual or multilingual a plus.

Excellent computer and Internet skills
